2017 All England Masters International Champions
Lauren started her playing career at the age of 7 with Boarshurst Youth Band. After gaining experience there, aged 12 she progressed to the senior band at Boarshurst on 3rd cornet.
After working her way up to repiano cornet Lauren decided she wanted to try playing the tenor horn. Under the direction of Jonathan Webster, she moved onto 2nd horn aged 15. She enjoyed many years here progressing to 1st horn and even a stint of a few months on the solo seat.
Notable moments at Boarshurst are qualifying for the national finals in Perth, Scotland and winning the French open aged 13.
In June 2010 Lauren made the decision to end her long stint at Boarshurst and move to Milnrow on 2nd horn.
The best year to date has been 2013 when the band qualified for the national finals. Then they won the grand shield and qualified to play at The British Open.
After 9 months off on maternity leave in 2016, Lauren returned to Milnrow on 3rd cornet and is again enjoying the success of the year so far.
